How WebAura Started: Our First Website for a Car Rental Business

WebAura began with a practical problem: booking a rental car meant making a trip to the rental business. A conversation about making that easier became our first website project.

A problem we knew as customers

Our group rented vehicles for college trips from the same local business. We became familiar with the owner and the booking process. One day, we suggested a website so people could find information and enquire without travelling to the shop first.

The owner gave us an opportunity to build it. That project became ShahCars, a self-drive rental business also known as Shah Rentals, and our first paying client.

Learning through the first build

We were engineering students learning how a real website project worked. We had to figure out more than the page design: the domain name, hosting, data and how to put the site online.

Rohith led the interface and animation work on the prototype. The rest of the team worked on the supporting pieces. Delivering the website taught us that a project is only useful when the client can actually use what has been built.

The team behind WebAura

WebAura was founded in Hyderabad in 2025 by five co-founders: Santosh, Sriman, Ronith, Rohith and Gopal. Today our work brings together client communication, planning, design, development and operations.

We build business websites, online stores and custom software. We also help with design, marketing and automation. The work has grown, but the starting point is still a practical business need.

What the first project taught us

Ask how people use the business before deciding what to build. Explain the work clearly. Test the important tasks. Make sure the client understands the handover.
